If you create 3d models for use with a 3d printer, you deserve to get paid. To get started now, go to https://models.makewithtech.com, create an account, and enter your Buy Me a Coffee ID. Then share an OpenSCAD customizable model to earn tips.
The models by MakeWithTech application expands on the customizer capabilities once available on Thingiverse and included in the desktop OpenSCAD application. We have added enhanced module and font support and easy user provided file integrations. All online.
As a creator, you can upload and share 3d printer models designed in OpenSCAD and earn money multiple ways.
Earn tips through Buy Me a Coffee
Here's how:
Set up an account at Buy Me a Coffee and enter your I.D. into your Models by MakeWithTech account profile. Anytime a user downloads a model from the results page, they will have an opportunity to tip you via the Buy Me a Coffee widget.
Prepare for a Future Business as a OpenSCAD Model Creator
The models site now also includes the ability to create model templates right on the site. Our new revolutionary online OpenSCAD editor supports coding without downloading any tools speeding up the OpenSCAD development process. We recently integrated the Open AI code generator into our editor as a way to help creators get started and generate ideas.
We continue to improve the models by MakeWithTech application and anticipate expanding it into a full two sided store where as a creator you can sell templates and even work with makers to build custom models.
Some Fine Print
Models shared for participation in any incentives or compensation program on this site, including contests and tips, must include an OpenSCAD script compatible with the customizer on this site, a sample STL file, and an image of the model. The OpenSCAD script file must be at least 50% different from other models and must include at least 20 lines of code, not including comments. MakeWithTech reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to exclude any models from this site, remove models and block the participation of model authors submitting models that do not meet our standards.
Thanks for your time. Let's learn together and make money together.
